Before I inadvertently start a panic, let me begin by saying that all current orders are safe, so don't worry. Also, the Amazon Japan order process on your end will not be affected by this, so feel free to keep ordering anything you would like.
Now, onto the good news... We are going to be moving in the very near future! As dv8CAG has grown, so has my family. There are now four of us in an apartment built for two (ore one foreigner!) and a continuously enormous pile of items pending shipment as well as a closet full of items to be combined, shipping supplies and miscellaneous other things. If we get into the apartment we are looking at, not only will Ai and I be able to have a room free of kids, but there will be space for a dv8CAG office as well! I should be able to keep things much more organized. So, without much further ado, I do need to mention some things that will be changing for a bit. Although we are not exactly sure of the date of the move yet, we wanted to let everyone know as early as possible to avoid any issues. Amazon Japan orders have always gone to my in-laws house, so you may continue to place your own orders throughout the process. The thing that will change on that is, once we are ready to move, there will more than likely be a two week or so delay on any packing and shipping. Also, from now, I will not be accepting any requests for item searches until we have a new place and get settled in. I just can't guarantee that I will have the time as we already need to begin packing up our own items. We will still accept requests for basic orders (you have the links already) up until a few days before the move itself as long as you understand timing may cause delays as we will have to transition some deliveries to my in-laws place. Finally, we can't be certain of the internet situation until we get settled, so updates may be sporadic at best for a time. All we ask is that you please be understanding and we will do our best to get everything up and running at 100% again when we are able.
I will update here with our timetable as we get more information.
Thank you, -Sam & Ai |

Well, not exactly... Some (most) of you may have noticed that I have been pretty slow with anything site related these past couple of months. Sorry about that! >_< Long story short, not only was our daughter born a couple of months ago, but I was also given a promotion at my "real job" and have been super busy. While I have kept up with most things on the site, I have very rarely kept up the proper level of communication about what the progress has been and I apologize for that. Luckily, during my small amount of free time, I have been teaching my wife how to use the site and she has become pretty fair at it. Beginning now, she should be able to do most things, including give status updates, place orders, quote prices, pack, ship, etc. I do ask that you remember she is Japanese, so English is her second language. Please forgive her grammatical errors! Below, you will find a brief message from you to get you off on the right foot! -Sam
Hello everyone! As Sam mentioned earlier, I'm still learning. So please forgive my mistakes and bear with me. Once I know how to operate everything I will be able to do better and I'll promise you I will do my best to satisfy you all, thank you! (●´∀`●) - Ai |

Any links to this site are greatly appreciated! There are a few small banner images located in this forum thread right now. If you would like a different size, just let me know and I will get something to you. Other banners are still being worked on as are the images for the upcoming slight redesign. ;)
The smaller links are perfect for forum signatures and the like, so if you would like to add it into your existing forum signatures, that would also be very helpful. Those of you with your own sites that would like to work out a banner trade are more than welcome to inquire. I am currently in the process of adding an extra page which will have links to other sites that share our link and/or simply sites that I feel are useful or interesting.
Another way to help is to place orders through our Amazon links for item forwarding or even for items that go directly to you. If you have not yet bookmarked our Amazon Japan affiliate link, please do so. We would really appreciate it! It doesn't only apply to items currently listed on the site, but absolutely everything that you may buy.
We do also have an Amazon U.S. affiliate link. Same as above. Even though I don't actively list items from Amazon U.S., anything purchased through the links is helpful. If you would like to bookmark that as well and make your regular Amazon purchases through it, it would be great! As always, we really appreciate the help that we get and hope that we can continue to help you in kind by continuing to offer the services we do at lower prices than most anywhere else! Thank you! -Sam

Just a heads up to anyone planning on having anything with batteries forwarded. This includes Nintendo DS systems, Playstation Portables and Vitas, as well as PS3 Controllers and probably some other items that I am not thinking of off the top of my head. New regulations about "hazardous materials" have caused Japan Post and the other large shipping services in Japan to refuse shipment of items with rechargeable batteries to the U.S. Other countries can still receive these products, but only a limited number in a single package and ONLY via Surface Shipping. When items with batteries are purchased and need to be shipped to the U.S., you will have two options from me. The first (and least advisable) option is to simply attempt to have the items forwarded as normal. If they are not noticed, they will make it through the system and should not be an issue. If they are noticed, one of two things will happen. The package may be returned to me and the shipping fees will not be refunded. Alternatively, they may choose to remove the offending item and forward the remainder of the package. The second (and obviously best) option is for me to remove the batteries myself and ship the item(s) without or even to simply remove the controller if it's a system. According to my friend, Mr. TheInternet, PS3 controller batteries are removable, but I can't say I am sure how easy it is to find replacements. I have found that new replacement batteries for the other items listed above may be obtained on Ebay or through other sources fairly inexpensively. I will most certainly work with you to remove a small amount of the fee when this option is selected. Please let me know and we will come to an agreement. Please understand that this is certainly not something that I would like to do, but it has simply become impossible to ship these items easily under the current restrictions. I will also be posting a quick addition to the FAQ concerning this information which will include a link (most likely Japanese) for any that would like further information.

The best thing about being a gamer in Japan, is that 98% of the other gamers treat their games as priceless heirlooms. Very rarely do I buy a used game with any kind of scuffing or even smudges on the disk. If you buy a used game, you can trust that it will be 100% playable and, in almost all cases, that it will be in fantastic condition. Last Updated: Monday, 11 August 2008
Not anymore! While there used to be an actual shop, the majority of the business coming my way was in the form of requests. Due to that, I decided to focus more on that end of things and the products page now takes you directly to Amazon Japan which can fulfill many of your requests very easily. Please visit the Services link at the top of the page for more information on how you can order directly from Amazon Japan. Last Updated: Thursday, 18 March 2010
